Bluegrass Nashville is proud to present a very special Bluegrass on 3rd concert at 3rd & Lindsley — a career-spanning, twenty-song performance celebrating the release of the Tim O’Brien Songbook.
Get your signed copy of the brand-new Tim O’Brien Songbook on May 20 at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville. Featuring 40 of Tim’s most loved songs—alongside photos from his 50+ years in folk and bluegrass—the much-anticipated Tim O’Brien Songbook includes essays on songwriting, singing, and his life as a musician.
The performance will feature favorites from across his career in an intimate setting, joined by fiddler Shad Cobb and cellist Nathaniel Smith. Expect cameos from bassist Mike Bub, vocalist and mandolinist Jan Fabricius, and banjoist and Barcroft Books founder Randy Barrett. A few surprise guests may stop by… you’ll have to be there to find out who.
Doors at 6pm. Show at 7:30pm.
Arrive between 6–7pm to meet Tim, grab a copy of the Songbook, and get it signed before the show.

Gallagher Flat Picking Contest
& Music Festival

GallagherFest is a full-day celebration of bluegrass music in the heart of downtown Murfreesboro. Shockingly, this is one the only bluegrass festivals in Middle Tennessee. The festival features an exciting lineup of regional and national artists such as: Shadowgrass, Sicard Hollow, and Air Show! The fest will feature live performances throughout the day, workshops, local vendors, and family-friendly activities.
The main event is the signature flat picking contest, where talented guitarists compete for cash prizes and a handcrafted Gallagher G-50 guitar. Competitors will be judged based on tone, technique, rhythm, timing, execution, and level of difficulty. Gallagher Fest brings together musicians, music lovers, and the community for an unforgettable day of live music and tradition.
